GRAVEYARD...... 2!

students in time out: 16
It's a little hard to wake up when the melody that drifts into your ears is so comforting that it'd be so much simpler to stay asleep. Maybe everything that you remember last - the cold seeping into your fingertips, the pain of injury, or the darkness creeping into your vision - will just be parts of a bad dream.
But it's not.
When you wake up, it's probably a little disorienting - you have to push off a blanket and rise from this nice comfortable mat on the floor. Seems like you were all curled up for nap time. Literally. The room that you're in has furniture meant for small humans, children as some might call them, and everything is soft and plush to the touch with rounded corners. Blocks with the alphabet etched onto them, coloring books and crayons, and even a rocking horse dot the room to really give it that childish charm. If you can think of a child-safe toy, it's probably in one of the baskets that line the shelves of the room!
Around the room they'll find baby monitors that broadcast the antics of the living. Hopefully that doesn't feel creepy.
There is a yard outside through the glass doors, but it currently seems to be locked - and the glass won't break no matter how hard you try. There's a large pink door that feels enormous, ten times as tall as you, on one side of the room, but there's no way through that either. At the very top, you might see a directory sign that says: TO ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.
Huh.
Well... for now, get comfortable. It looks like you might be here a while.

[ for all the good that did. ]
It was the last attack that surprised me. I'm still not really sure what it was, but obviously I didn't get a chance to counter it.

I am sorry that you had to experience such a thing. ...I am sorry, too, that we did not solve the case of your death.
no subject
...And don't worry about that. You guys had to focus on Otome. I get it - I probably would have done the same.
no subject
I am not dissatisfied with the choice that was made. [He'd truly rather be out here dealing with it than anything else, but sometimes [redacted], wowie...]
--Even so... I wish that I had been able to do more for you, then.
[MORE THAN JUST RUN UNDER THE BLEACHERS.]

Look, it doesn't matter now. It's already over. More importantly, we finally got into the records room today, so we can actually change things and get out of here soon.
no subject
I've been notified. I've heard that we will take action at a later point? To ensure we don't make any mistakes...
no subject
...At least you won't have to be gone for too long, though. Just a few days.
no subject
[He may reconsider this a bit when he realizes he's gonna have to sit through his own murder trial hello.]
But yes - we can't afford to miss anyone. [Though, if everything goes right...]
no subject
...What are you worried about?
no subject
...That- [Hm.] ...I'm glad that none of you had to go through that, at least. [Especially with the way many of their trials went, wowee...
Then, he tries to open his mouth and explain further, but! No words come out! He makes a frustrated sound, brow furrowing.] ...It seems I can't say. That has been happening, with information pertaining to last night.
no subject
...Weird. I wonder why? It's not like we can tell them anything.
no subject
I don't know... It seems much about our appearance here is irregular. The same thing is happening to Manwol, as well, in spite of her status.
[As one of the group killers...]

[ shakes his head. ]
Guess we'll find out tomorrow. But in the meantime - welcome to daycare, I guess? It's not that bad, at least for a few days. Like I said, you came just in time for us to finally be able to do something, so that's pretty lucky.
no subject
As for the rest of that, though, there's just a little hint of a smile.]
I am sorry that it was you, but I'm glad that it seems we'll be able to leave soon. That is one hurdle passed... A rather large one, at that. Still, thank you for the welcome.
[Said with some gentle, wry humor.]

[ his thoughts aren't really anything specific, just buzzing excitedly. ]
I didn't know you could cook, though.
no subject
[Having something to focus on can really help a person not fall into an endless well of despair! Wow.]
--Yes, I do. I spent most of my time traveling, so there weren't many places to dine, and I didn't always have money with me. Would you like to try some?
no subject
But yeah, absolutely. I like trying new things.

[He says casually because he's not a demigod on the run from deadly rude monsters and gods, but he is a fugitive running from the law! And also demons.]
One moment, then-- [Give him a second to dish a lil bit up! Here you go, lad. It's very tasty because Sakyou is fortunately a decent cook.]
