[ The other limb touches Futaba's other cheek? It's the same sensation... It's curious unlike before when it threw her down here like garbage (garbage it will eat). It's a little more caring, gentle, like it's trying to mimic something.
Mmmmghh. Hhhghhh. Hhhmmmmgh.
Yamato is still watching, by the way, and his foot accidentally hits Futaba's heel. ]
[ she's keeping it from murdering the fuck out of them, what do you think she's doing, Yamato. (glad she's like 'ah yes, this is exactly what he'd do' though). ]
[ Yamato stays quiet! Because⦠Well. He fears for his life. Lalli sure is just still a ball. Yamato will⦠Distract himself by taking care of Lalli.
Hhaggggg⦠Gghhhaaaa?
For Futaba, it backs away a bit, bringing its tendrils with it. Itās thinkingā¦
Then slinks out, keeping the door open as if to let her go. ]
[ ............. it. it worked? but she throws the boys a half terrified glance because if she walks out what happens to them? what happens to her? ]
Keep an eye on him. I'll be back.
[ will she though? will they still be here? she's not as brave as akira, who can walk head high out into the most craziest shit. her knees are fully shaking and it's honestly likely she's gonna hurk if she thinks too hard but... futaba stumbles to her feet and with her sword in hand, exits the room. ]
[ Yamato won't have that. Instead, he comes out of the door and takes her sword, slashing at the monster in the dark. It isn't hard for him to aim when the monster pulses gold.
It lets out an inconvenienced noise, but there's a sound of... Some fluid dropping to the floor. It doesn't seem happy with Yamato and throws him back into the basement, then shuts the door again. Futaba is left here! Futaba was nice to it.
The sword falls onto the floor and while it wanted to spend more time with Futaba, it perks up, like it hears something.
Then it quickly disappears, leaving Futaba alone again in this middle section of the ship. ]
[ Mm... The monster really closed the door in the hurry, with more force than ever before, so the door is jammed. Yamato keeps banging on the door. ]
I'm okay! Why won't this stupid door open!
[ As if someone woke up, Futaba will hear another voice in there. ]
... Wha... I remembered approaching the ship and...
[ Drowsily said by Maya, somehow, she was thrown in there during Futaba's little investigation trip earlier... Just... Wasn't discovered napping. As she tries to talk more, suddenly it becomes gibberish similar to Lalli. There's sobbing and crying. ]
F-Futaba. Go on ahead and get help. I'm going to try getting Lalli and Maya together.
[ Yamato has decided that he... He has to leave Taichi behind, for people that are alive. ]
[ Iām fucking laughing. HOW DOES SHE CLIMB THE LADDER. As a reminder, she has gone right, past the hallway door, to that torture crate room already (there were some notes on the bed)⦠but thereās a ladder there, too, that goes up another level to where the monster originally came from (as a reference, it darted a different direction).
She also has the dark hallway to the left she tried to escape to, hitting the dead end hallway door there. There was another room there and a ladder going up, too!
[ Yes, because she knows where it is, we are going to that room!
These notes... They seem to be ripped from a notebook. They're written like journal entries, dated to be in the year 3469 (yes). They detail the hardships of the voyages, how they miss their home, and how they loathe the crew. They hate this crew for kidnapping them, from taking them and others away from their homes. They hate this crew for dehumanizing them, torturing them, and treating them tools. They hate that they will be sold at some auction, to some stranger...
[ oh. bad. she frowns at the notes but tucks them into her inventory for later.
anyways time to keep exploring. the ladder will get a dirty look until she figures out how to make that work but there's still one? room? let to explore down here? I don't know directions I need a map to find my own head.
we're just wasting time until the others get here now ]
[ At the end section, yes, there is a ladder... Somehow, however long it takes her, she gets up there.
What she sees, using Lalli's trusty phone flashlight flashing from her pocket or whatever (wow, why did he not use it earlier), she can see it's a large, decorative door. A lot nicer than the doors she has seen so far. ]
[ She comes in!! And it is a lot more extravagant than the kitchen and the orlop. There is a window at the far, far end of the room. It's boarded up, but there is some light creeping around the edges of the boards nailed over it.
There's a glob sitting in a floor stand somewhere inside by the door. There is a desk with a journal and papers on it, chair fancy. Chair big. Chair kind of old maroon red. There's a dresser in here. There is a chest and some crates by the window that's boarded up. There are some journals on the desk, some books here and there.
And somewhat dark stain in the middle of the room. There waits a bright red bag. ]
[ Oh.. I meant it is a globe. Anyway, it's a globe of this world! It looks like earth, except a little different... The continents have shifted.
Because I know that Futaba is big brain, as being a P5 canon familiar, Futaba can surmise that the continents moved in such a way due to many years of tectonic plate shifts. ]
There is another map!! Very similar to the globe, but with some traditional map tools. There are some journals and papers here, if she wants to read them. They are journals, too, but these are from the crew side.
You know what, she can find an eyepatch. I will give this to Futaba. ]
and she's absolutely being nosy about all the papers and notebooks, flipping idly through them. don't ask me how her vision is doing in the dark with poor light and a patch. ]
[ She still has two eyes because she has glasses and an eyepatch. Two eyes!
In the dim light, she can make out the usual... Slave ship stuff. The hard voyages, and then the mention of a monster that appeared on the ship one day during a storm. The captain watched it kill their crew, then their inventory (people), and they holed themselves in their room to write this one last journal in hopes that others are warned.
