SPRINGLE - WEEK 7

common room.
In the common room, the walls have been painted with photo-like pictures of forests and lakes, and spread across the ceiling is a depiction of the night sky. One wall is lined with bookcases, the books ranging from fiction to non-fiction as well used course textbooks. More bookcases have been used to section off one corner for a study area, with a desk and chair provided.
Elsewhere, there are a few couches (one looks as though it doesn't quite belong) and chairs, most seated around a coffee table and with throw blankets tossed over them if you need the extra warmth. On the table is a bowl of healthy and semi-healthy snacks, regularly stocked. (Nearby is a garbage can.)
This week, there's something.
specialty room.
Past an entrance in the common room, a mini coffeehouse has been set up, with express machines for those who just want their coffee now and slightly more advanced equipment for aficionados. It offers a variety of strength levels and flavors to accommodate tastes all across the spectrum, along with a teapot and packets of caffeinated and non-caffeinated tea for those who prefer a different drink. There's a sink if you want to use your own mug, but otherwise, disposable cups are provided for you to use.
Pasted on the wall by the coffee machines is a detailed but clear handwritten guide on how to use said machines, complete with illustrations. There are also cute little doodles of Spring Dorm residents using the machines and drinking coffee, though they look as though they were done by someone else.
Please use this as an open post for members of Spring Dorm. You may post top-levels whenever you'd like and go wild. A new post will go up at the start of each week.

yeah, hugo left the photo frame on the ground after he threw it because he never wants to be reminded of it or that photo again? please just leave the photo, lucretia, he'd be happier if it ended up destroyed.
anyway, the writing is just red. nothing happens when sakyou runs his fingers across them.
by the papers, there's a pocket watch. it'll be familiar as the one he always wears on a chain around his neck, and that the young man in the fake photo is wearing.
as for the papers themselves, they have words, which i know is very shocking for paper but i got tired of thinking how to write things.]

[ she takes the pocket watch and then shows the paper to everyone ]
It looks like he was prepared for the worst.

but she reads over that, as maya shows it to them, and just. exhales a slow breath.]
He implied as much, yesterday. Damn it, Hugo, we're not going to--
[fuck. she hates this letter, actually.]
... only as a last resort. Certainly we're all in agreement on that.
[well.]
Nearly all, anyway.

He's quiet for a second, at Lucretia's statement. Then, with a nod:]
...If there is no other option, then we will do as he asked. It is the duty of the living to respect the wishes of those who can no longer act for themselves.
[Which is usually the dead, but he's counting these fucks in there, too...
Nobody (probably???) Liked That, but it's not a possibility they didn't see coming. He's not the type to sacrifice the greater whole for a smaller few, generally, and he's pragmatic at best and pessimistic at worst.]

I knew it'd be something like this. Damn it.
If it comes to a fight, we'll win. But I'm sick of letting people get sacrificed.
