SPRINGLE - WEEK 7

common room.
In the common room, the walls have been painted with photo-like pictures of forests and lakes, and spread across the ceiling is a depiction of the night sky. One wall is lined with bookcases, the books ranging from fiction to non-fiction as well used course textbooks. More bookcases have been used to section off one corner for a study area, with a desk and chair provided.
Elsewhere, there are a few couches (one looks as though it doesn't quite belong) and chairs, most seated around a coffee table and with throw blankets tossed over them if you need the extra warmth. On the table is a bowl of healthy and semi-healthy snacks, regularly stocked. (Nearby is a garbage can.)
This week, there's something.
specialty room.
Past an entrance in the common room, a mini coffeehouse has been set up, with express machines for those who just want their coffee now and slightly more advanced equipment for aficionados. It offers a variety of strength levels and flavors to accommodate tastes all across the spectrum, along with a teapot and packets of caffeinated and non-caffeinated tea for those who prefer a different drink. There's a sink if you want to use your own mug, but otherwise, disposable cups are provided for you to use.
Pasted on the wall by the coffee machines is a detailed but clear handwritten guide on how to use said machines, complete with illustrations. There are also cute little doodles of Spring Dorm residents using the machines and drinking coffee, though they look as though they were done by someone else.
Please use this as an open post for members of Spring Dorm. You may post top-levels whenever you'd like and go wild. A new post will go up at the start of each week.

monday meeting
I don't know what good it'll do, but seeing as a bunch of you were dead until now, I might as well share the latest hint we got from our field trips so you can actually see.
[she'll lay out copies of these two papers on a coffee table for anyone's perusal.]
Looked like nonsense to me, but Ichiro was able to make some sense of them. They both reference a bunch of stories and TV shows and the like. The first, scenes where a main character dies. The second, scenes where those characters are miraculously revived later on. Themes of heroic sacrifice and resurrection.
Also of note... the second memo is labeled "sequel ideas."
Viola suggested that everything's going to crap because we're basically in unwritten territory now. This hint might be important for what's coming.
Also, about half of us were there, but for the rest of us... Hugo left us a message in his room. You all should read it.
[and she'll set that out as well.]
Sounds like some people were able to purchase more info today, too. I think Maya's got that covered, so she can give us the rundown in a minute.

So, there's that...
no subject
[maybe she's a little biased because she would vastly prefer Not, but.]
no subject
Not sure if it's talking about a pacifist approach, or... you know, like. Story-writing.

...what he said in that message-- I mentioned as much to those of us who were there when it was found, but please, please try not to be too quick to jump on that one, regardless of what he wrote. I have a pretty good idea of why he'd feel that way, but if there's any way we can avoid killing them... this place has seen enough of that, I think.
If it comes to it and there's no other choice, I can't fault anyone who does what's necessary. Just-- be sure that it is, first.
no subject
Defeating isn't the same thing as killing. We'll have to be careful when we confront them.

Iris said some similar stuff before. I think they were all preparing for something like this.
[she's looking at her phone with kind of a pained expression...]
I'll do whatever it takes to bring them back.
