In the common room, the walls have been painted with photo-like pictures of forests and lakes, and spread across the ceiling is a depiction of the night sky. One wall is lined with bookcases, the books ranging from fiction to non-fiction as well used course textbooks. More bookcases have been used to section off one corner for a study area, with a desk and chair provided.

Elsewhere, there are a few couches and chairs, most seated around a coffee table and with throw blankets tossed over them if you need the extra warmth. On the table is a bowl of healthy and semi-healthy snacks, regularly stocked. (Nearby is a garbage can.)

This week, there is a welcome basket near the bowl.

Past an entrance in the common room, a mini coffeehouse has been set up, with express machines for those who just want their coffee now and slightly more advanced equipment for aficionados. It offers a variety of strength levels and flavors to accommodate tastes all across the spectrum, along with a teapot and packets of caffeinated and non-caffeinated tea for those who prefer a different drink. There's a sink if you want to use your own mug, but otherwise, disposable cups are provided for you to use.

[ maya spends a good amount of time trying to unlock the door by using folded up paper and the like, and then when it doesn't work, she starts rummaging through literally everything as if looking for clues ]

[ she's very tense and muttering under her breath to herself ]

[ Maya looks definitely Not Okay, so Claude's going to make his way over to her, standing cautiously beside her. ]

[ maya glances at him and her expression lightens a little bit, but doesn't quite make it to a smile. ]

Clues! There's bound to be something around here.... something we can use....

[shaft]

All right, let me help you look.

[ He leans over, considering. ]

It's quite possible Chad left us a hint somewhere.

[feytality]

Or we can leave a hint for Chad... if he's trying to get us out! Either way....

[ come join the investigation, claude!! right now she's looking through all the books ]

[shaft]

Let's just greet Chad in person. [ no hints, nothing is going to happen to them. ] But all right, I wouldn't mind solving a mystery.

[ He starts snooping through the tweat bowl. ]

[ i hope he investigates the tweats by eating them ]

[ maya flips through the books..... ]

Yeah, anything that's thin and flat.... not flimsy. I can try the door again...

[ He pulls out his ID card. ]

All of this for blackmail? They've picked the wrong group. No one has any money.

[That's. Yeah. He can't help there. But he does just keep following, pretending to look.]

[ he can shake out the books in case there are hidden things inside! ]

Blackmailing isn't always for money...

[After tucking Malik away for the night, Sieghart descends the stairs and heads straight for Maya.]

Are you done milling about?

[ maya was watching malik leave with a worried expression...... but she seems relieved when sieghart puts him to beda ]

I think... I should keep investigating... something should turn up.

[ she will drift close to him though she's a lil weenie ]

What's left to investigate? Haven't you looked everywhere by now?

[ at least she doesn't have to be told to stick close ]

Well... more or less, but I'm sure I must have missed something...

If you didn't see anything the first time around, there probably isn't anything there.

Get some rest, Maya. You'll need it in case something happens.

I don't know about that... you can never be too thorough!

Besides, there's no way I'm gonna be able to sleep like this...

[ until they all fall asleep and die ]

You don't have to sleep. Just lie down and close your eyes or talk to someone.
