FALL COMMON ROOM - WEEK 1

common room.
The common room of the Fall Dorm has soft, dimmer lighting; plush carpet over wood; and several comfortable chairs and sectionals. A few big windows overlook the dormitory area of campus, but there is also a single, cozy bay window on one side.
A television and bluetooth surround-sound are here for Fall students who are more inclined to be tech savvy. In the cabinets under the entertainment stand are an assortment of board games, but the television does have a generic "free tv" app for shows and music.
Above the enormous center fireplace is a moody painting.
This week, there's something else.
specialty room.
Through a door on the first floor, there is an antigravity room. Stepping just a few feet through the doorway will lift everyone up into the air. The seating and most of the rest of the room remains somehow rightfully in place on the floor and will not move. Students, however, can grab pillows and blankets, cups or bowls, or other small items to bring into the air with them.
Please use this as an open post for members of Fall Dorm. You may post top-levels whenever you'd like and go wild. A new post will go up at the start of each week.

[ WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FIRST TWO ]

[I'm sorry Yamato, he assumes everyone knows about the three souls. You'll have to ask more clearly.
It's also definitely translation fun, because the three different souls have actual names in Finnish.]

How are you even awake with just one soul?

First you have the first soul, the "breath". You get this long before you're born. It stays with your body at all times, and it is what makes someone 'alive'. If you ever lose this soul, you die.
Then there's the second soul, the "mind". This one joins your body right at birth. It's your consciousness. This one can leave your body without killing you, but if it leaves then your body will be unconscious until it returns.
The last one is the third soul, the "nature". This is someone's power, or magic. It's always animal-shaped, and it's what protects someone from the outside world. Usually people get it at around one year old, which is why babies are so vulnerable to everything. This soul can leave your body too, and while you can be awake without it, it's advisable to just nap until it comes back.
My third soul is a bobcat. That's why it's the best cat.
[This is the most words Lalli has ever said in one go. And he looks annoyed to have to say it all.]

... Where do your second and third souls even go when they leave?

[That probably doesn't make much more sense.]

What's that thing?
[He nods to the thing in Yamato's hands. It's the only question he can think of right now.]
