The common room of the Fall Dorm has soft, dimmer lighting; plush carpet over wood; and several comfortable chairs and sectionals. A few big windows overlook the dormitory area of campus, but there is also a single, cozy bay window on one side.

A television and bluetooth surround-sound are here for Fall students who are more inclined to be tech savvy. In the cabinets under the entertainment stand are an assortment of board games, but the television does have a generic "free tv" app for shows and music.

Above the enormous center fireplace is a moody painting.

This week, there's something else.

specialty room.

Through a door on the first floor, there is an antigravity room. Stepping just a few feet through the doorway will lift everyone up into the air. The seating and most of the rest of the room remains somehow rightfully in place on the floor and will not move. Students, however, can grab pillows and blankets, cups or bowls, or other small items to bring into the air with them.

There was also a time a friend of mine was in a burning building and needed to escape out the window. Octopus is a pretty good landing pad for someone as small as she is.

Huh. Yeah, I can see that being helpful. [ he leans forward a bit to look at Frumpkin curiously ] Are those his only three forms?

Not at all. He can be just about any small creature, if I make him that way. He has been, uhm, a capuchin monkey before, a vulture, a falcon and an owl, a raven, a sea bird, even a spider.

[ geez that's a long list and yamato looks more impressed the longer it goes on ]

And cat's the default one because he likes it? [ he nods ] I don't know that it's a stupid fear. He wouldn't be nearly as popular if he decided he liked being a spider best.

[ he's clearly kidding ]

He's pretty useful as a spider. [Hmm.] I think he likes being a cat best, but truth be told, I like him as a cat best. When I summoned him, I wanted - I had a picture in my head, of a cat I had when I was a boy, and there he was.

[Petting the good boy.]

It may not matter to him as much.

So... it's a nostalgia thing. I get it. [ idk if frumpkin is close enough to his corner angsting ass for pets but if he is he gets some, otherwise he just looks at him in thought ] I think he likes being a cat too. Easier for the pets.

[ he's decided this? anyway, a little sheepish as he realizes he got distracted; ]

Uh, truth, for my turn.

A little bit, ja. He was my friend when I needed one. And I think that's what he likes being.

[Yes, he can pet.]

Truth. . . [Who do you like like and why is it Taichi? No sorry my character is a coward.] What is the most embarrassing thing you have ever done? [. . .] Only embarrassing things that didn't matter. [No bummers.]

[ well. he's sort of already told one embarrassing story, so he's got to use the same one again!!! should've used the like like question!!!! ]

Mm... probably that one time we spent all our ride home money on food, so we had to try and hitchhike across the city. Not a lot of people have the space or willingness to take along seven kids. And trying to catch a ride was... just embarrassing.

Then when we finally got one, there was an accident in his van and we booked it.

[He doesn't know what cars are so he's just listening like cool, okay, what is a van. Hitchhike he gets but not why it would be hard to fit seven kids.]

I hope you didn't cause the accident for this friendly person offering rides. . . ?

I wouldn't call him friendly. The guy nearly pushed one of my friends off a bridge after that. [ but also he looks embarrassed and: ] No, the... accident was from Taichi's partner. [ and here's why it's the most embarrassing thing to happen to them: ] He kind of could not wait for the bathroom.
