FALL COMMON ROOM - WEEK 1

The common room of the Fall Dorm has soft, dimmer lighting; plush carpet over wood; and several comfortable chairs and sectionals. A few big windows overlook the dormitory area of campus, but there is also a single, cozy bay window on one side.

A television and bluetooth surround-sound are here for Fall students who are more inclined to be tech savvy. In the cabinets under the entertainment stand are an assortment of board games, but the television does have a generic "free tv" app for shows and music.

Above the enormous center fireplace is a moody painting.

This week, there's something else.

specialty room.

Through a door on the first floor, there is an antigravity room. Stepping just a few feet through the doorway will lift everyone up into the air. The seating and most of the rest of the room remains somehow rightfully in place on the floor and will not move. Students, however, can grab pillows and blankets, cups or bowls, or other small items to bring into the air with them.

[the energy in here is so depressing but manwol thinks this is the only valid mood to have. there's a Bad mood, but also like -- a similar awkward vibe?? from manwol?? She's sitting here, but she also avoids everyone's eyes. sometimes, you make a Choice, and now you have to look at those Choices.

Caleb's words hurt, and the others agreeing hurt so much more. ]

...I made a choice and I was confident that I could deal with the consequences. [...] I won't make light of Lila's death by running away now.

[even though she probably spent like a good amount of outside and in the room and not meeting anyone's gazes. she's here now. as much as bonds frighten her, she owes that much to the people she's met here.]

I only mean that it wasn't your fault. She was killed by being placed in that situation.

Terrible people always. . . try to mislead you to think the things they do are your own fault. [. . .] Impossible not to feel some guilt in this situation, with a young girl like that, but. . . only. . . it's a lot to try to carry.

It wasn't you. It's this place, and the people who killed Lan Wangji.

I blame them too. I just hate the fact that I had to play along this entire time.

[ they all hate it but wow! what a bad weekend ]

[The mood's terrible! The vibes today are awkward, even if he does appreciate Manwol not dying to a car or whatever else was happening on that "stage".

He stays quiet, but he brushes his shoulder against hers.

[after a moment, Manwol leans against his shoulder -- just a little, okay, don't perceive Bradley.

that whole situation was Bad, and having to face Lila was the worst, but there's another element of downright horrifying that she knows Bradley would understand. having to face lila, of all people.]

[Listen, if they can keep it low key he will. He's not about to go pointing out vulnerabilities right now, out in the open.

There were choices just as bad as Lila. But the fact this place forced her up and made Manwol fight her... it leaves a sour taste in his mouth.]
