SPRINGLE - WEEK 1

common room.
In the common room, the walls have been painted with photo-like pictures of forests and lakes, and spread across the ceiling is a depiction of the night sky. One wall is lined with bookcases, the books ranging from fiction to non-fiction as well used course textbooks. More bookcases have been used to section off one corner for a study area, with a desk and chair provided.
Elsewhere, there are a few couches and chairs, most seated around a coffee table and with throw blankets tossed over them if you need the extra warmth. On the table is a bowl of healthy and semi-healthy snacks, regularly stocked. (Nearby is a garbage can.)
This week, there is something else on the table.
specialty room.
Past an entrance in the common room, a mini coffeehouse has been set up, with express machines for those who just want their coffee now and slightly more advanced equipment for aficionados. It offers a variety of strength levels and flavors to accommodate tastes all across the spectrum, along with a teapot and packets of caffeinated and non-caffeinated tea for those who prefer a different drink. There's a sink if you want to use your own mug, but otherwise, disposable cups are provided for you to use.
Pasted on the wall by the coffee machines is a detailed but clear handwritten guide on how to use said machines, complete with illustrations. There are also cute little doodles of Spring Dorm residents using the machines and drinking coffee, though they look as though they were done by someone else.
Please use this as an open post for members of Spring Dorm. You may post top-levels whenever you'd like and go wild. A new post will go up at the start of each week.
COMMON ROOM
Still if you come nearby to sit down, he'll offer out the bottle if you've got a cup? Join.]
Suppose a lot of you need supervision with this stuff? What do I know, I'm not your mother. Here.

So Halloween is some sort of holiday?
no subject
[Handing him a bat.]
The pumpkins are a surprise to me.
no subject
Seems a bit like playing with our food, doesn't it?
no subject
[Flipping pages in the origami book, this time finding a page on flowers. Picking out a new sheet of paper!]
no subject
[anyway, she's taking a seat, waving off the offer for now.]
Not really my usual flavor. Isn't it a little early for this, anyway?
no subject
You got that weird brain thing where you always know the time too?
no subject
[it's not even late afternoon, probably. molly please.
let her get in on that origami paper, though, that seems very chill.]
no subject
You fold the paper better when you've got some whiskey in you. Just the facts.
no subject
[she's just getting right to paper folding, meanwhile.]

[He trots over an sniffs the bottle, recoiling and making a face.]
I've never smelled alcohol like this before.
no subject
[And making a face right back at him.]
Pretty sure it all works the same.
no subject
I'm... not sure I want to drink this.
[Wow what a dweeb won't even drink whiskey straight.]
no subject
[Don't you dare water it down like a coward.]
no subject
[He is just going to choose not to drink unless peer pressured. He points at the bats.]
What are these for?
no subject
[It's never too early for a drink. He takes the bottle and pours some whiskey into a cup that he emptied earlier before returning it to Mollymauk.]
My mother definitely didn't look like you.
[Also, he has a Hello Kitty bandaid on his right cheek.]
no subject
Shame. Mine's where I get my looks.
no subject
He looks down at the origami bats.]
How many of those are you planning on folding?
no subject
[Anyway. They're cute .......... he looks at his swarm.]
Do I have a limit?
no subject
no subject
Still, though he makes his way over, he politely raises a hand at the offered bottle.]
No, thank you. [He's gonna end up having to babysit all these drunks god bless. INSTEAD, he just points at a lil bat...] What are those? I've never seen this style of origami before.
no subject
He holds up a little bat? He's kind of proud of this? He is surprisingly good at these.]
I just followed the pictures? Always been good with my hands.
[
wink.]
no subject
He will lean in to get a look at the little bat, though! It's kind of cute... And now that he's looking at it properly he can indeed tell it's a bat, even though that is a weird as hell choice for origami for a ye olde.]
My. With such craftsmanship, I believe it. [Said with a little hint of understanding amusement... Look he's modest but he's also an otome route. Anyway, with a gesture:] Would you like me to show you some other animals?
no subject
Oh, sure. What else you got?

[ anyway she's looking between the origami and the cups... thoughtfully. ]
You know, I've never tried this before...
