In the common room, the walls have been painted with photo-like pictures of forests and lakes, and spread across the ceiling is a depiction of the night sky. One wall is lined with bookcases, the books ranging from fiction to non-fiction as well used course textbooks. More bookcases have been used to section off one corner for a study area, with a desk and chair provided.

Elsewhere, there are a few couches and chairs, most seated around a coffee table and with throw blankets tossed over them if you need the extra warmth. On the table is a bowl of healthy and semi-healthy snacks, regularly stocked. (Nearby is a garbage can.)

This week, there is something else on the table.

specialty room.

Past an entrance in the common room, a mini coffeehouse has been set up, with express machines for those who just want their coffee now and slightly more advanced equipment for aficionados. It offers a variety of strength levels and flavors to accommodate tastes all across the spectrum, along with a teapot and packets of caffeinated and non-caffeinated tea for those who prefer a different drink. There's a sink if you want to use your own mug, but otherwise, disposable cups are provided for you to use.

Pasted on the wall by the coffee machines is a detailed but clear handwritten guide on how to use said machines, complete with illustrations. There are also cute little doodles of Spring Dorm residents using the machines and drinking coffee, though they look as though they were done by someone else.

[When you come back to the dorm frustrated and upset and see someone else has already had a tantrum, well, you know what? What's the point staying calm? This dorm is a disaster, what's the big deal if it's a little more???

He picks up one of the various thrown books and hurls it across the room before he apparently decides he's going to try and tip the shitty downgrade couch over.]

[ Claude has decided the panda head is his now, so the book just bounces off the plush. ]

Hm?

[Honestly the sight of Claude body Panda head is so visually confusing it actually diffuses his anger somewhat.

Not enough to apologize for throwing things, though.]

Wh-What the hell are you doing?

I'm sitting.

I mean why are you wearing that thing.

[shaft]

I like being in here.

[ It's cozy. ]

[shaft]

It's quiet.

Aren't you part of the reason our dorm is like this in the first place?

[He wasn't paying full attention to all the nonsense this week but he got the broad strokes.]

[No we're already down one couch!!!!!!!!

Looking over as the book sails by and bonks Claude's panda head, and then coming over to immediately try and push the damn couch back down.]

This isn't helping anyone.

[RRRRGH. he does allow this to happen, and just sort of flops over the couch to grab a pillow to scream into.

He says something, presumably to Molly, but it is muffled by the pillow enough to be incomprehensible.]

[Well that's fine, screaming into a pillow is much less destructive than destroying the books and shitty couches. Patting him on the back.]

Aye, yeah, I know.

[He will allow this physical contact for now. After a moment he does remove his face from the pillow.]

This building is a reflection of the broader state of our situation, isn't it.

[The pattings will continue until morale is improved. There there, little guy.]

That it is. But Chad's rather fond of the books, so maybe should focus on destruction outside of them.

Tell that to the person who threw them on the floor in the first place?

[Tsuyukusa out here scapegoating himself for messing the dorm up and then being indignant about it.]

[Listen bud, you were caught in the act here of throwing at least Some Books around.]

[rita just came down from upstairs to see this. she picks up a book from the floor and then hurls it at tsuyukusa.]

Knock it off, why don't you!?

[It hits him in the head!]

Why should I!? Someone else already made a fucking mess of the place!

[rita's picked up another book and looks like she's about to clobber him with it??? when...]

No? I just got back.

[well what is she going to do with this book in her hand?? her clobbering book?]

... Forget it, I don't care. I get it. I'm pissed off, too.

[She could still clobber him with it, sometimes people just need to be clobbered.]

Like it was going to be bullshit ANYWAY but then that-

It's completely screwed up! It's all wrong, and I... I just...!

[she just slams the book down on a table and storms off, right out of the dorm, goodbye]
