FALL COMMON ROOM - WEEK 2

The common room of the Fall Dorm has soft, dimmer lighting; plush carpet over wood; and several comfortable chairs and sectionals. A few big windows overlook the dormitory area of campus, but there is also a single, cozy bay window on one side.

A television and bluetooth surround-sound are here for Fall students who are more inclined to be tech savvy. In the cabinets under the entertainment stand are an assortment of board games, but the television does have a generic "free tv" app for shows and music.

Above the enormous center fireplace is a moody painting.

This week, there's something else.

specialty room.

Through a door on the first floor, there is an antigravity room. Stepping just a few feet through the doorway will lift everyone up into the air. The seating and most of the rest of the room remains somehow rightfully in place on the floor and will not move. Students, however, can grab pillows and blankets, cups or bowls, or other small items to bring into the air with them.

It's January 1st... it's a New, Year! Your calendar starts at November?!

Yeah? November, December, January, February, and so on.

Why would the New Year start in January? That's the third month of the year!

The year starts in January! It's written 'First Month'?! [ Because Caiman is ostensibly Japanese...??? ]

Where in the word 'January' do you see the word 'first'?

Where's a paper -- [ Paper got. And he just writes 1月 on there??? I have to tentatively say he writes Japanese since the setting has Japanese writing everywhere...

Points to the '1' tho. Why did he even bother writing this shit down. ]

[Lalli is going to take that paper and write down 'Tammikuu'. Then below it he actually writes the individual words, which are translated as 'heart' and 'month'.

Then he passive-aggressively points at it, mimicking Caiman's actions.]

Why is it a 'heart month'?! What language is this?! Why wouldn't you just keep it simple and write it all as just the number and then 'month'?!

[ This truly turned into a stupid thread goodbye. ]

It's Finnish! And why would you number the months, that's so stupid! You number DAYS not months!

It's so simple though?! Our days and months and years are numbered! No complicated bullshit!

Wait, fuck it! What's this matter?! My New Years isn't over yet, we can still have it!

It's not that complicated! The year starts with 'Death month', which is where the old year dies and allows a new year to come in. See? It makes sense!

DEATH MONTH?! THAT'S SUCH A SCARY WAY TO START OFF A NEW YEAR!

It's a perfect way to start off a new year!

It'd be better to start it off with a bunch of food and mochi! Don't wanna start off a new year with DEATH!
