FALL COMMON ROOM - WEEK 3

common room.
The common room of the Fall Dorm has soft, dimmer lighting; plush carpet over wood; and several comfortable chairs and sectionals. A few big windows overlook the dormitory area of campus, but there is also a single, cozy bay window on one side.
A television and bluetooth surround-sound are here for Fall students who are more inclined to be tech savvy. In the cabinets under the entertainment stand are an assortment of board games, but the television does have a generic "free tv" app for shows and music.
Above the enormous center fireplace is a moody painting.
This week, there's something else.
specialty room.
Through a door on the first floor, there is an antigravity room. Stepping just a few feet through the doorway will lift everyone up into the air. The seating and most of the rest of the room remains somehow rightfully in place on the floor and will not move. Students, however, can grab pillows and blankets, cups or bowls, or other small items to bring into the air with them.
Please use this as an open post for members of Fall Dorm. You may post top-levels whenever you'd like and go wild. A new post will go up at the start of each week.

Wow! Not a half-bad trick for a carnival toy, hehe. [Lightly. She's joking.] Welcome back... Riku-kun?

This place would make something that important nothing more than a carnival toy, huh? Figures.

How long do we have to chat? If you're staying for a while, we should plan accordingly.
no subject
We don't want to leave you all on your own and unprepared.

[She's already pulling out her phone, but also...]
By the way, Riku-kun, is now a bad time to make a purchase?
no subject
[He doesn't sound entirely confident, but [slaps his head] you can fit so much persistence in this bad boy sometimes.]
Mm-mm. What are you looking to buy?

[She quickly types something on her phone, tapping the screen a couple of times before she's done.
After a pause, she types something else on her phone.]
Do you have your phone with you? [She will present her screen to him if he doesn't, and send it to him as a text if he does.] ... I doubt I can afford them all at once. But give me a quote, or tell me if it's not something you can do.
no subject
Mm. Come talk to me later, okay? So I can give you a price.
[Hit him up.]
no subject
[She pockets her phone, shoving both hands in her pockets while she's at it.]
In the meantime, what do you want to do with your newfound lucidity? Any special requests? Pretend it's your birthday.

I think we should take a bit to regroup and breathe. And... we should make sure Caleb is okay. He told me it would last an hour when I was a wolf.
So he should be okay.

But what if we wanted to do something special?
no subject
[He waves a hand dismissively.]
Really. I don't need anything.
no subject
[Is... Is she joking? A mystery.]
no subject
[When you've seen some shit. And, haha, uh... when you've done some shit, too.]
Don't worry. I'm not planning on wasting my time.

[This is such a serious 16-year-old... Sir.]
Just as long as you're making good use of your time. No one wants to take their first steps into adulthood heavy with regrets, right?
