FALL COMMON ROOM - WEEK 3

The common room of the Fall Dorm has soft, dimmer lighting; plush carpet over wood; and several comfortable chairs and sectionals. A few big windows overlook the dormitory area of campus, but there is also a single, cozy bay window on one side.

A television and bluetooth surround-sound are here for Fall students who are more inclined to be tech savvy. In the cabinets under the entertainment stand are an assortment of board games, but the television does have a generic "free tv" app for shows and music.

Above the enormous center fireplace is a moody painting.

This week, there's something else.

specialty room.

Through a door on the first floor, there is an antigravity room. Stepping just a few feet through the doorway will lift everyone up into the air. The seating and most of the rest of the room remains somehow rightfully in place on the floor and will not move. Students, however, can grab pillows and blankets, cups or bowls, or other small items to bring into the air with them.

[Sometime after execution, anyone currently in the dorm will hear the sound of something heavy falling on the third floor above. Familiar...

In a few minutes, footfall comes carefully down the stairs, and Luke stops in front of the door to the common room. The strange sword held in his hand dissipates into fading light and vanishes. He lifts his other hand to curl and uncurl it.

And then he glances up, expression relieved but focused.]

I'm back.

[ hey so. this totally beats trying to text him in between the lake she's cried over the past 24 hours so uuuuuuuh congrats on your gremlin growth, watch the snot. ]

[darksubverted]

[HE'S DROWNING.

He has to sort of grab her so he doesn't teeter over backward onto the floor.]

Futaba...?

[ wailing noises. the blubbering against him vaguely sounds like 'I can't take it anymore, I'm at my limit' ]

[he'd just entered the dorm again, probably, when luke enters the common room and taichi just blinks at him and at that sword.]

You yourself then?

[The smirk doesn't quite reach his eyes, but it's there for a second on his lips.]

Yeah. It's me. The real me.

[there's a pause like he's uncertain of what to say, but then...]

"You're still Riku no matter what."

[it's obviously a quote rather than an encouraging statement, but there's a look of understanding there anyway.]

How long are you here? Do you know?

Wow! Not a half-bad trick for a carnival toy, hehe. [Lightly. She's joking.] Welcome back... Riku-kun?

This place would make something that important nothing more than a carnival toy, huh? Figures.

Was it the vouchers? Did that really help?

I hope so. I feel... more like myself. Even if it doesn't stay, I should be me for a while.

[Well. He had been worried, but now that he sees its Riku and Riku is okay Lalli is getting up to his feet and going over to Riku.]

...welcome back.

[He offers Lalli a small, but reassuring smile.]

Thanks. It's good to be back.

[Well okay. He can give Riku a tiny smile in return. But it only lasts for a second before he's glancing down at the sword.]

Why the sword? Is there danger?

[Wow. If Yamato wasn't so beat up already, he'd maybe crack the keyblade over the guy's head.]

[ he's wearing different clothes and clearly clean, jerk!!!! he's even got new bandages on from yesterday on his face :/ ]

And I'm fine. What about you? No... struggle?
