It's a little hard to wake up when the melody that drifts into your ears is so comforting that it'd be so much simpler to stay asleep. Maybe everything that you remember last - the cold seeping into your fingertips, the pain of injury, or the darkness creeping into your vision - will just be parts of a bad dream.

But it's not.

When you wake up, it's probably a little disorienting - you have to push off a blanket and rise from this nice comfortable mat on the floor. Seems like you were all curled up for nap time. Literally. The room that you're in has furniture meant for small humans, children as some might call them, and everything is soft and plush to the touch with rounded corners. Blocks with the alphabet etched onto them, coloring books and crayons, and even a rocking horse dot the room to really give it that childish charm. If you can think of a child-safe toy, it's probably in one of the baskets that line the shelves of the room!

Around the room they'll find baby monitors that broadcast the antics of the living. Hopefully that doesn't feel creepy.

There is a yard outside through the glass doors, but it currently seems to be locked - and the glass won't break no matter how hard you try. There's a large pink door that feels enormous, ten times as tall as you, on one side of the room, but there's no way through that either. At the very top, you might see a directory sign that says: TO ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.

Huh.

Well... for now, get comfortable. It looks like you might be here a while.

... I think we need to speak with the other Heads. If this is happening to all of them, we need to learn what we can while they're still themselves.

Saying it only gets us so far. If we're finding a third way, we do it fast or we're not going to do it at all.

We probably need to take that new message into consideration, too. About a sequel. And we need to get into that room.

"If you don't like my ending, you could always write a sequel" ...? I wonder what it means. I mean, literally, the concept isn't lost on me.

I guess breaking it down is out of the question.

A sequel in which the villain gets redeemed and graduates with the rest of us?

But I imagine no, it's probably fortified or I'd just break it down myself.

... Not a bad idea? Or a sequel where the villain is unharmed and graduates a little after the rest of us?

[ ... tch ]

Yeah, that'd be too easy.

Let's not discount it quite yet. We don't know the limits of what we can or can't do yet. If we list every option we can think of now, then at least we might know what's plausible as we keep learning.

Do we still think the wish is something that's going to happen? Looking at what that writing says, it sounds like we're not going to like the ending either way, but we could change things afterwards.

[momming]

Well, the way our mysterious speaker has made things out to be, their intended ending is for there to be a villain and for the villain to be killed. So either we find a way to change that or we find a way to bring the villain back-- it's very popular, reviving someone in order for them to be redeemed.

[ She sighs. ]

Not that I want it to come to that at all. I'm sick and tired of killing.

Yeah. I would assume.

… I don’t really want to either. [ but y’know. ] We’d need to confirm it though. Do we know if the living can still speak to the dead?

[momming]

I don't know, but I doubt the item is a one-time use, considering how only one of them has been so far. And it seems we can do letters?

We can. Pick up's Sundays, don't be late.

And we tend to gather info we want to share openly ahead of time, so we're all ready no matter who gets called on. Bearing everything that happened in mind, it could be you, so be prepared for that.

Talk to Sieg. He was the one they summoned last week, so you can see how much he shared with them and then figure out what's left.
