[Tanaka, why. Anyway, can she push the door open now? Or not yet? She will try to take a look inside the room regardless, using whatever space is available. Either way—]

[ She can push it, at least. The door won't open fully, but it opens enough that she can at least squeeze through the space.

The crowd continues to cheer as Mandi fights. He lifts up an arm to signify that he's giving up... and the door opens. Uh, Mandi is going to have to get out of the way very quickly, because the crowd is going to rush in to continue beating on the fallen man.

Tanaka continues to be helpful. ]

[The fight is over. Mandricardo, huffing, draws back - but is shocked at the rush of people inside the cage. Panicking, he manages to squeeze out of the entrance, looking back as he rushes over to Ichinose.]

W-What the hell is wrong with these people? [Whatever! Not his business! He's going over to Ichinose. He's ignoring Tanaka for now.] Let's get out. Need help propping it open?

[Oh, well... Sucks to be that other dude! Ichinose nods, looking between Hector's cage and the door. Is there enough space to get their baby through, too?]

Yes. [Quickly, glancing around to keep an eye on the crowd.] But be careful, there's someone on the other side and I don't know if they're down for the count.

[Can they make the space bigger between the two of them? Or are they going to have to try squeezing through like this? Either way, they really have to book it.]

[ Unfortunately, the cage doesn't fit.

They can both push the door open more so that they can both comfortably get through it, but the cage still will get stuck unless they spend more time... that they don't really have. It sounds like the crowd at the cage are getting restless and looking for someone else to take it out on. ]

[This is great! Mandricardo huffs, trying not to look back.]

Um, get her on the leash and get her out of the cage so we can fit? Then we can put her back in that collapsible cage.

[Oh... Dislike.

She pointedly avoids making eye contact with the crowd (or tries to, anyway), instead nodding at Mandricardo.]

Ahaha, well, about that... The other cage might be gone for good. But hold this—

[She is shoving the cage at him. Please do not drop their baby? And then she is taking the leash and a blanket, if they have one left. If they don't, then she strips off her coat to use that instead. Quickly and carefully, she swaddles sweet Hector-chan up and slaps the leash on her. Don't @ us for putting a leash on a bat this is a special bat!!

Anyway, assuming Mandricardo follows her, she will hold this still swaddled baby to her chest and start heading out the door. Please behave, child.]

[ Hector makes a bat noise, but she doesn't fuss as they handle her. She seems to mostly be content that she's no longer being horribly jostled by everyone grabbing at her.

Once they're outside the door, they'll see that what was blocking it was a large crate. There's writing stamped on it, that reads PEST CONTROL on it. As they walk, they also step on something. Well, someone. The person Ichinose had been wrestling with.

They're now back on a main road, but a different one from before. The sun has freshly risen, so there aren't many noises of people out and about. They can either go left or right on the road.

Tanaka strikes again. ]

Will you go home now?

[duranduel]

[Love their little baby child swaddled up in a bat burrito.]

[Mandricardo is more than happy to get out of there, not caring for stepping on the guy behind the door. Who cares! It's his fault! And now they're on the road again...]

Hmmmph. [He hates Tanaka SO much.] Fine. Maybe.

[She may be stepping on the guy with her heels a little harder than necessary. Oopsies!

Once outside, she keeps cradling this little bat burrito and kind of? Tries to hide her from view as much as possible.]

... Yeah, alright, fine. Will you act as our navigator?

[Time to go home... finally?]

[ Hector is a snug burrito.

But Tanaka just sounds happy. ]

Okay! Just head left and keep going. You'll reach an area with a lot of apartments. Try to watch out for the morning joggers!

[He pinches the bridge of his nose and curses.]

Let me guess. The joggers are gonna attack us because this bat is supposedly cursed, right?

This is getting old... Oh, well, guess we should get it over with.

[ Tanaka makes a noise that can only be described as what a shrug would sound like.

But off they go! This street isn't that fancy compared to the other one they were on, but it's still nice enough that there isn't really trash on the street and it doesn't smell like pee. You know, the city smell.

They can see the occasional car pass by them, but traffic is light this early in the day. It's a quiet walk, but they'll eventually hear the sound of feet running on pavement. ]

[Oh. Here they come.]

[Mandricardo quickens his step a little more in the direction of the sound of running, raising his voice - its definitely a little on the hoarse side because of the prior strangulation.]

Hey! HEY! If any of you joggers want to give the both of us any trouble, let me tell ya, I will not hesitate to throw you in front of a car, okay? Go around us, or you'll have to deal with me!

[Mandricardo at his lowest most exhausted point is just tapping full into his delinquent part of his personality. He sneers.]

Get the FUCK out of our way!

[Jesus CHRIST, Mandricardo.

Ichinose looks a little startled by the outburst, eyes widening as she keeps Hector close to her chest. While Mandi has his outburst, she will chance a glance in direction of the footsteps — just in case they're actually visible.]

Whoa, stop, stop. Calm down. [Sir, your blood pressure.] Are you okay to run? Let's just go.

[She does not want to get into a fight now that they're minus two whole ass cages.]

[ They hear a lot of loud murmuring, it's definitely people talking shit. They can't see anyone though, so it's probably fine.

But then they hear more feet running. And more. And more? You know the stampede in the Lion King and how that sounded like?

Tanaka whistles. ]

Oh... maybe run?

[duranduel]

How can I calm down when there's all of this crap?!

[And. Uh.]

[Haha! Maybe he...bit more off than he can chew?]

[Mandricardo feels his delinquent part shrivel up like a grape in the sun.]

...Okay. Uh. Let's...go?

[And he's just going to grab Ichinose by the arm and run the opposite way haha!!]

[Welp! They're running. She's tucking Hector in her shirt so it's more of a papoose situation, supporting her with her arm to reduce the chances of, oops! Honey, I think I dropped the kids! Noooo dropping the baby.]

Tanaka-san, how much longer now?

[Are they even close to their home?]

[ That doesn't really answer the question, but it's fine.

Objects are being thrown at them now. Small things, that people would normally have on them-- water bottles, keys, cell phones. They must be rather pissed if they're willing to get rid of that, huh. But the crowd just grows as the seconds pass. ]

[Mandricardo yelps when an iPhone conks him in the head.]

Ah-! We...just have to keep runnin'-! Shit! I hate this city!

[Mandricardo does have Agility Rank A, so his running is pretty good! He's just making sure Ichinose is along for the ride.]

Are we there yet?!

But adrenaline is one hell of a drug, so she's keeping up! For now, at least. I do not trust Francy. The wasted iPhones make her sad, though.]

[ The crowd keeps up with them, continuing to throw random items at them in an attempt to slow them down. But since they're so focused on what's behind them, they won't notice two invisible people (who are holding very visible baseball bats) step over from the side. One of them swings at Ichinose, but only hits her on the arm-- she manages to miss a good chunk of the blow, at least, but that's still probably going to hurt.

Mandi, however, gets the full brunt of a metal bat right to the face. ]

[Well, he sees the bats, for sure, but even a speedster like Mandricardo can't avoid something like that.]

[Mandricardo gets absolutely smashed in the face - he can probably feel his nose break from the force of it, reeling back.]

[Sorry, Ichinose, he's seeing stars from the impact, and won't be able to help you out at this moment.]

[HE'S GOING DOWN, HE'S YELLING TIMBER...

Hector might be getting jolted when the bat makes contact with her arm. Sorry, child. She hisses in pain, making sure to keep her arm secure under the baby bat while she pulls out the glass bottle from before — and immediately tries to bash it over one of their invisible attackers. And if it breaks, she will use it to stab at whatever part of them she can reach.]
