[ You may all be minding your own business, enjoying the day, and then you step through a door. Maybe to go to class, or return to your dorm, but-- you're somewhere else now.
Looking around, you'll see that you're at the entrance of a... pet store? It's in the middle of a busy street, with cars driving down it and the noise of a city around. However, instead of looking around more fully, you'll all be met with the urge to go inside the pet store.
Inside, it seems to be a typical typical shop. They're free to wander around, but at the back of the store are two cages. Inside one is a small bat, and in the other is a puppy.
[ By this point in the week, Mabel's recovered enough that she's...well, she's willing to go outside, at least. She's still pretty morose, though, and ending up in somewhere entirely new is a shock that throws her off-balance. ]

[ She steps into the store, curious, and immediately lays her eyes upon a cage with a puppy inside. Despite herself, she squeals and runs up to it, practically pressing her face up against the cage. ]
Awww, look at you! Aren't you just the most precious thing...!
[ oh the minute ichiro walks through the door to class and ends up here, he braces himself t be falling.
...thankfully, that is not the case, though he pauses where he's standing, looks around, and just mutters to himself - ] ...not this shit again.

well. okay! cool. he pats his pockets, does not find his phone, but wraps his hand around his mic anyway and then starts to follow what's a familiar voice - one that almost immediately makes his heart drop into his stomach. ]
...Mabel-chan. [ oh fuck.
ichiro makes a beeline over in the direction of mabel and the puppy, giving a wary glance around at their surroundings before jogging over. is the puppy cute, franch? i need to know?? ] Hey, be careful.
[What the hell? Mandricardo blinks, looking around the store with some panic. He's wearing his armor again, though its a bit blackened from his toasting experience, and he whirls around, almost dizzy.]

[Anyways, he has a BAD FEELING about all of this. He hears the other's voices and makes a beeline there.]
...Mabel? Ichiro? [And sure, there's a puppy, but he's walking over to the COOLER animal, bending down.] Am I seein' things? That's really a bat?
And immediately throws her head back, touching her forehead.]
Should I be happy we're inside building this time...?
[Thanks! She hates it. But she will take a look around, trying to see if there's anything of note in the shop itself besides the bat and the dog. And when she watches Mabel, Ichiro and Mandricardo approach the animals:]
... Let's be careful we don't get rabies now, okay? Especially you, Mandricardo-san. Bats are notorious for carrying all sorts of diseases.
[She says this, but she is also approaching the bat. A binch is curious? Sue her.]
[ It's an adorable puppy! A small, grey mutt that lifts his head up to look at them all. The bat is hanging upside down, napping. He's also very cute.
As they all approach the cages, the door to each one unlocks and the door swings open. The intercom of the store beeps to life, and a cheery voice rings out. ]
It's adoption day! Pair up and please choose the pet of your dreams. And remember, we don't accept refunds!
[ It cuts out.
The puppy whines, and the bat blinks an eye open to peer at them. Time to pick! ]
[ she blinks as she notices the others enter the store. ]
This is a field trip?
...oh no, this is a field trip. That's...that's not good, is it?
[ Before she can get too anxious about that, though, the intercom announces adoption day, and Mabel's thoughts short circuit by the thought of adorable animals who need homes. She gasps, excited despite herself. ]
[ When Ichiro and Mabel step out of the store, they'll find themselves back at the city. The sun is shining brightly, and the sound of people going to and from their destinations fill the air. Except... there's no actual people? Only the sound of their voices and footsteps echoing through the air. The puppy barks and wags his tail.
And then the same voice from the intercom rings out. ]
Take your new friend for a walk! There's a park nearby, so have some fun, okay?
[ In the distance, they can now see some trees that weren't there before. ]
They have intercoms outside? Weird...but okay! Here, let's put a leash on him and go, Ichibro!
[ she sets the cage down on the ground to open it and pull their new lil buddy out. She holds him up in a hug for Ichiro to put on the collar and leash. ]
[ he kneels down to carefully affix the little collar onto their happy little puppy, looking around. is it just like... blank, besides the trees in the distance? or are there buildings and stuff around. anything recognizable? ]
Stay close to me, okay? [ he's still got the little plastic bag of goods on his wrist, but he shifts it back a little and nods towards the direction of the park. ] Come on. Let's go.
[ There's buildings, but despite lights being on in windows, they give the impression of being empty.
The puppy happily barks. He likes his plan!
As they walk, they'll hear the sounds of people cooing over their dog. Compliments about how cute he is, and how lucky they are, are abundant. This is a very dog loving area, it seems. When they reach the entrance to the park, they'll come up to an immediate fork in the path. The left leads to a grassy and open area, with a playground further way. The path to the right leads to a more woodsy area. ]
[ Mabel knows this field trip is not going to go well, but it's so easy to forget that in the face of an adorable puppy and masses of people showing it love. It's so easy to forget.
She nods at Ichiro's instruction and sticks close. When they reach a fork at the park, Mabel pauses. ]
Where do you think we should go, Ichibro? I think he'd have a lot of fun at the playground!

Nightlife is in full swing, with drunken laughter and music playing in the distance. Despite all the noise, they don't actually see anyone thought. Their new pet continues to doze.
And then the voice from the intercom start again. ]
Hello friends! You should start heading home, it's late. The entrance to the subway is just right there.
[ If they look to their left, they'll see the entrance light up. Wow. Convenient. ]
[Ichinose, on the other hand, doesn't look surprised at this turn of events. Though, she does look down at herself like — huh! Still in her regular clothes, wow.]
If it's anything like the last time, we'll run into them eventually. Let's worry about ourselves first.
[After all, it's not like they can do anything for Ichiro and Mabel right now. She glances at their surroundings, trying to pick up anything of note as she follows after Mandricardo.]

The subway is... well, a subway. It's about as dirty as you'd expect a public transportation system to be. They can hear the sound of a train passing by, but they're not close enough to the tracks yet to actually see it.
As they walk, Mandi will feel something-- someone-- bump into him really hard, like he was just run into. Neither of them will see anything though. The bat makes a displeased squawking sound. ]
I've never been, but I know what it is. Like a train underground, right?
[It's subway time! Eat fresh!]
[Mandricardo is on edge, not knowing what this subway station holds - he grimaces at the dirtiness - and as he turns to hear the train, the bump happens.]
[His lip draws back in a peeved snarl, holding the bat's cage closer to himself.]

[But...there's nothing there? He's stepping closer to the edge of the platform, confused.]
Ichinose makes a face at dirtiness of it all, but then—]

[That sure just happened. Ichinose looks at the floor first, as if looking for something Mandricardo might have stumbled on, before she glances around. Hewwo? Ghost??]

[Is there some kind of train schedule visible somewhere, though? Where the fuck are they, even.]
[ As each group heads for the sounds, they'll run into each other. It's nice to actually be able to see another face again, huh? Especially one that you know well.
They can have some time to try to chat, but as they're doing so, the static noise is back. It's much louder now, and doesn't cut off right away like it had been doing before. Both Miku and Hector are extremely agitated.
ichiro is starting to feel really shitty from all of this moving around and stair climbing and mic shouting and truck dodging, so the minute he realizes that it's mandricardo and ichinose, ichiro just half stumbles to drop onto the couch and melts onto it, pressing his hand against his injured arm. ]
...fuck, I'm glad to see you guys. What - what happened to your face, Mandricardo? You okay, Ichinose...?

the static noise sure is happening. ] ...You guys hear that...?
