Oh - well, it depends, I suppose... If you're only seeking to aim at a single target, 6 would be the start.
For a slightly larger area of effect, around 9.
And for large spaces - about a room or so - I would say somewhere around 12?

Hmm... It would include any items that you personally own - like your Lunar Tear, your sword, or other possessions.
But any items that you pick up from the environment around you briefly will remain visible.
It should be able to work once a day.
