But I've been learning about different types of magic - some that are closer to technology?
I think that's a little easier for me to understand.
What type of magic do you think exists here?

[in most cases, viola is polite enough to ask people if they want to meet her. in most cases, she is willing to get permission before she finds them, and in most cases, she doesn't actively use surveillance on those in her care.
