[The instant that you pass through a doorway, the world around you shifts. Suddenly you're not walking around campus, into your dorm, or headed to your next stunning session of Bees? but you're footsteps will have a metallic clang. You're walking on metal grating and suddenly in a room that appears to be mostly made of metal. There are a few storage boxes around you, marked with different things like CAUTION: FLAMMABLE and GATLING GUN. There's the sound of ruckus outside, but so far nothing seems to be heading into this room.
There will also be the click! of something into place - around your neck, to be price. If each of you touch your neck or glance around at each other, you'll realize you've all got a nice piece of bling.
There's the sound of something thrumming outside, like a very large fan, but maybe focus on what's around you first!]
[WELL. WELL!!! Sakyou's here, unfortunately, and he's like, immediately on his guard. He's a pessimistic individual which means he's been Expecting The Worst To Continue Getting Worse, and it also means he's absolutely ready for death to come swooping in for all of them at a moment's notice.
THIS IS NOT PART OF WHAT HE ANTICIPATED, THOUGH. Being transported somewhere else entirely is a very discombobulating experience, so he's got one hand on his sword hilt like he's ready to STAB as he glances around the room and its occupants very quickly; a sweeping, cursory look to make sure there's no immediate danger. What the fuck's a gatling gun. Anyway there's their sweet kitty bling too and his other hand's immediately rising up to that!]
[ Claude also stumbles (internally) at being so suddenly displaced. It takes him a second to get his bearings, immediately on edge and frowning when he sees Sakyou, one hand going to his own neck to feel the cool metal of the collar.
Great. ]
Damn if I know. Perhaps this is another way of locking us up like they did last Thursday.
[ Unlike Sakyou, his first instinct takes him to his pocket to his phone, tapping futilely at his screen to no avail. ]
Our phones aren't working either, same as last time.
[ Okay, time to do some recon. He is looking for all exits. ]
[It's not the first time in two weeks that Sieghart has found himself spirited away. It's the first, however, that he does so with three others. Unlike the first two, he doesn't reach for the collar around his neck: He can infer what it is by looking at them.
Rather, he tightens his grip around the hilt of his sword as he sweeps the interior—walls, ceiling, metal grating and all—with his gaze before taking a cautious step forward. The sound of ruckus outside isn't exactly reassuring.]
There's no use in wondering right now.
First, we need to figure out where we are. What's in these boxes?
[He knows what a gatling gun is. He wants to know what's so flammable and if it poses a threat to them, should they remain here.]
[the cat who, upon finding herself somewhere she didn't intend to be with a thing?? around her neck?? that she doesn't want?? immediately bristles, hair and ears and fur standing on end. she extends her claws with back arched and immediately skitters back until she crashes into a storage box. mod choice which one it is!!]
What--?!
[NOOOO DO NOT LIKE]
What's going on? Where are we?? [. . . and then, to Claude specifically as the only one here she hasn't spoken to yet--] Who are you?!
[this is funny. you can start looking through all the boxes and everything soon! catra might smell a little bit like gunpowder. once again, don't worry about it just yet.
however there will be the noise of static suddenly emitting from the collar to get their attention. the voice that comes out is higher-pitched and garbled, hard to identify.]
It seems that you're all a very rowdy group of sympathizers. I wonder if your conviction can match how quickly you run your mouths.
This is a test. You can choose to accept it, or not. However choosing to not accept it means that your safety cannot be promised. Think wisely before you choose to disbelieve my words.
One of you should put your ear to the door. The other three can start looking through the boxes - one to each wall. I wouldn't waste time if I were you.
[On the South side of the room, there will be a door! That's your only exit. It's a heavy metal door and once you get closer to it, you can start to have an idea of what's on the other side.
Boxes line the West, North, and East sides of the rooms.
[HELLO???? EXCUSE. Sakyou's unfortunately not going to contribute anything to the apparent group goal of Put Ear To Door Or Check Boxes just yet, because he's too busy being first surprised and then Mad about this... funky voice just. Calling them sympathizers and giving them ORDERS. WHAT ARE THEY EVEN SYMPATHIZING WITH.]
What sort of test involves nonsense like this—!
[BINCH. He's also trying to tug the collar off because he's not into this pet kink nonsense.]
[The instant that you wake up, things might be... a little familiar. All your memories of the first round are intact, right up until the moment that everything went black.
Your footsteps will have a metallic clang.

There's the sound of something thrumming outside, like a very large fan, but maybe focus on what's around you first!
[WELL. THIS IS NONSENSE!!! Binch he can't even die and be dead in peace. He blacks out in fury and he wakes up in fury!! Such is the life of Sakyou.
This time, though, he keeps his seething as internal as possible. It's less disorienting this time, and with his memories and the guilt freshly intact, it's enough to, like. Prod him into being on better behavior. Not the dying! Just the guilt. In fact, the only thing he says as he carefully casts a glance around the familiar surroundings is an extremely terse but also very heartfelt:]
...My apologies.
[Presumably directed at the other people that he kind of had a hand in killing, because he sure doesn't give a damn about the disembodied voice. It's fine!! Ignore the fact that he's positively radiating murderous intent.
HE'LL GO TO THE EASTERN WALL WITHOUT PAUSE, HE FUCKIN GUESSES. i hope it's the gatling gun wall]
[Now that they're back on their feet, Sieghart allows irritation to seep into his mien. It's not directed at them, but at their predicament. He steps toward the Southern side again and promptly puts his ear to the door, because he's sure they (including him) all know what they could've done better.]
[when she eventually comes to. . . every muscle in Catra's body is completely rigid, but. . . she isn't yelling this time? no yelling, no flailing, no squirming to escape. even her tail sits frozen at her back, though the fur on it is standing on end]
[. . .]
[her gaze narrows at Claude when he addresses her and her alone, something akin to irritation-- to defensiveness-- bubbling in her gut. but she doesn't say a word; merely watches him as he moves to the Western wall]
[and then. . . without preamble, she turns sharply on her heel and makes her way to the northern wall. what crates we got here!!]
[again, there will be the noise of static suddenly emitting from the collar to get their attention. the voice that comes out is higher-pitched and garbled, hard to identify.]
... huh. So this group is surprisingly quick on the uptake. That's good. Maybe you all really will be able to understand...
Then let me say this much: this is a test. You can choose to accept it, or not. However choosing to not accept it means that your safety cannot be promised. Think wisely before you choose to disbelieve my words. Continue as you are.
Your mission is to steal an airship right out of this hangar.
[bzzt! it cuts out shortly after.
since there's no racket coming from inside, Sieg will be able to press his ear to the door and he'll catch the thrumming sound getting louder. There's some bits of conversation - "... to the island...?" and "We're waiting on the diplomats and the performers..."
As Sakyou checks out the Eastern Wall, he'll be able to see that there's a small box of beakers. There's three bottles here, but a mechanism is in place so only one can be removed at a time. The three bottles have different labels: a heart, a cat, and a jewel. Which one does he pick?
As Claude checks out the Western Wall, he will come face to face with the clown nose and fedora once more. More specifically, there's a few sets of clothes in different styles. There's airmen suits, some rather sleek-looking formal suits, and then a whole bunch of dazzling, drape-y fabric that seems to be akin to what performers wear. The last one also has a clown outfit. Which one does he pick? (He can mix and match.)
As Catra looks through the Northern wall, she'll see a cart! That's handy. There's also a few things on the wall that can be stacked on the cart, but she can only pick two. Her options based on the labels of the boxes are: - Human Launcher - Gatling Gun - Fireworks - Parachutes (2) - Boxed Water What's she picking?
You have three tag rounds max to make your choices!]
The ocean's waters are calm enough for everyone to be able to get to the shore. After a short expanse of sand, there's a grove of trees - but as they were swimming over, they might've seen a few rather old-looking rooftop peeking over the top. Over the top of the trees there's the reflection of different colors, sunshine bouncing off stained glass. Seems like the chapel they need to make it to is a little further in.
There's a cry of something not quite human suddenly - pained and distressed. Some voices can be heard at lower volumes, arguing, before muffled. They might be able to pick them out as people they haven't heard from in some time, or even some voices they're used to hearing from campus. They know now that in the distance there will be a chapel that has seen better days. It'll be a little run down, part of it more ruins than functioning church, but there's still some mysterious beauty to it.
This time, Catra's immediate bullet injury isn't as deep and isn't bleeding out quite so profusely. While everyone is still fairly injured, the aches feel less immediate as though they've been able to heal a little bit more than 0.5 seconds before they go charging off. Sakyou will feel the vial with the Heart image whole against his chest and all their belongings are shockingly dry even though they just came out of the ocean. Even though they know their loved ones are further away, they can now decide on their plan of action.
Third time's the charm, right?
A crackle of static.]
What lengths will you go to in order to protect the ones you love?
WELL. HERE THEY ARE AGAIN. Sakyou actually looks, like, extremely disoriented when their save file reloads. Perhaps more than one might expect from someone who was clearly conscious and not half-dead like Catra during the end of their last run. Hm.]
What—
[??????? ???? ?? ???? ???? HE'S CLEARLY GOING THROUGH SOMETHING but it's fine they're all going through something.
Once on the shore, he's just quiet for a few seconds, still in the aftermath of the voice. HOOGh... But he will just kind of go on autopilot here now, fifty shades of dissociating as he reaches into his shirt to withdraw the heart vial.]
—It's back in one piece... [Glancing around between the others. Everyone's alive. They've restarted again...? This time he does not in fact to racing toward the chapel like a madman on a mission.]
[Resetting is more or less the same as the aftermath of a fatal injury for an immortal. That's to say, Sieghart is more occupied with making sure that nobody runs off this time, especially now that he finds that his bones aren't aching as much as they were earlier—not that that's saying much.
He rounds on both Sakyou and Claude.]
What was that? We're supposed to be a team. Pay attention and don't run off on your own next time!
[Perhaps it's a little out of touch to be scolding them, but the less tries they have to make, the better off they'll all be. He doesn't want to risk damaging their psyches any more than they've already been.]
The people you saw aren't real, so let's discuss our plan of action on the way there. We can start with that smoke bomb.
[meanwhile, Catra comes to just as confused as she was when she died?? though. . . her ribs and arm and leg don't ache so much anymore, and despite the twinges of pain she does still feel, she is together enough to shrug off her suit jacket and tie it around the bullet wound in her leg]
[. . .]
[her arm is still broke though, so that she cradles closely to her chest, just to keep from aggravating it]
Uh.
Okay, so. Anyone want to tell me what just happened???
[Ow Sieg right in the heart!! There's an almost imperceptible flinch which is hilarious since that's more of a reaction than he's given to literally any of his injuries. It's actually hard to tell he's still got any broken bones considering how little he shows of his pain. Good work lad.
He'll just - quietly nod, though. He's got nothing else to add there so instead, he'll turn to Catra.]
...Inside of the chapel - we found the source of the voices. There were people from the school and others I didn't recognize, save one... I assume it's the same for us all? In any case, they "also had people to protect" and detonated the chapel where we stood. I imagine the goal is to save the ones who were tied up...

Third Fourth time's the charm, right?
A crackle of static.]
What lengths will you go to in order to protect the ones you love?
[so. like. Catra doesn't have time to process anything Sakyou and Claude said before the familiar pinprick at the back of her neck sends her hackles raising and her entire body spitting in FURY again. did you know the back of her neck is a trigger spot for her!! did you!!!]
[the world fades into darkness for the THIRD DAMN TIME, and this time when she wakes up she IMMEDIATELY grabs a pebble and THROWS IT AT SIEGHART]
[ Claude is rubbing his temples now, but he doesn't yell at Sieghart. ]
Okay, so that's obviously poison. Catra, do you have your gun?
[ He is once again marching toward that damn cathedral, taking stock of their surroundings. ]
I don't trust stepping foot into that building without it collapsing around us, maybe if we can coat the bullets inside the gun we have a better chance of immobilizing them even if Catra doesn't get a lethal shot in. Once she's fired, I'll throw the smoke bomb and we can enter—hopefully they won't be able to detonate.
[ He looks at the group and then back to the cathedral. ]
We may need to find a better entry point as well, so we should probably go around the building.
[i wish sakyou was enough of a bitch to chop sieg in two for his crimes of killing them all immediately after scolding them but UNFORTUNATELY HE'S TOO BUSY STILL HAVING A TIME OVER HERE IT'S FINE. He closes his eyes for like 3 seconds and takes a breath before following after Claude, listening to him discuss their potential plan. Hopefully their asses won't die again!!]
Alright. That's fine.
[Walking around the building. THAT'S FINE. He hesitates for a second at the mention of the gun, though, since that's his handy-dandy item along with the mysterious heart potion that's probably love arrows.]
--I have the gun.
[He will hold it out for Catra if she wants to be their resident sniper!]
[Sieghart lets out a strained grunt when the pebble strikes him in the eye with his fear still written plainly under it. He bows his head and blinks furiously behind a hand raised to his face.]
I said that I was testing it!
[Once Claude has pitched his plan and Sakyou, responded, Sieghart straightens, doffs the suit once again, and thrusts the syringe out to Claude.]
Catra's in no shape to be shooting. Hang onto this for now and we'll think of what to do once we're there.
[Catra huffs a bit, satisfied when the pebble hits Sieg in the eye (sorry Sieg). When Claude starts moving she is right behind him, limping on her bad leg as she digs through her pockets]
Sieghart's right. I can't shoot with a bum arm.
[a huff]
All I have is this pocketwatch, and I don't even know what it does.
[TIME TO INSPECT THE WATCH FOR REAL NOW. it it one she can flip open, if so she is opening it]

ThirdFourth time's the charm, right?A crackle of static.]
What lengths will you go to in order to protect the ones you love?
[It cuts out abruptly afterward.]

[the world fades into darkness for the THIRD DAMN TIME, and this time when she wakes up she IMMEDIATELY grabs a pebble and THROWS IT AT SIEGHART]
WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!
no subject

I said that I was testing it!
[Once Claude has pitched his plan and Sakyou, responded, Sieghart straightens, doffs the suit once again, and thrusts the syringe out to Claude.]
Catra's in no shape to be shooting. Hang onto this for now and we'll think of what to do once we're there.
no subject
Sieghart's right. I can't shoot with a bum arm.
[a huff]
All I have is this pocketwatch, and I don't even know what it does.
[TIME TO INSPECT THE WATCH FOR REAL NOW. it it one she can flip open, if so she is opening it]
