Sakyou's attention snaps to the window the second the clouds start to shift, and he doesn't look at all surprised to see another airship appearing. THEY ARE ON THE RUN. Clowns on the run... With a soft curse under his breath:]
Get ready—! We can't allow them to claim victory, not here!! The ship is armed--
[With BOMB. And also FREEZE. And also their gatling gun that's trapped on the first floor... But so sweet Sieg isn't entirely abandoned when Claude blows us all up, he'll run over to him.]

[Sieghart drags his feet. He doesn't want to be up here! He wants to go downstairs, where it's just a little closer to the ground! So he opens his eyes (HNNNG) just long enough to locate and reach for the ladder.]
[oh my gooood they're being followed? Catra lets out a low snarl in the back of her throat before she too scrambles (LIMPS) towards the ladder to make her way down. with. . . great difficulty, but hey, she's trying]

[Fancy flying while also trying to launch a bomb is an interesting combination. Doing both at the same time admittedly does release a bomb in the direction of the other airship - it's similar to a cannonball, soaring through the air. The other ship was just barely able to get into position time however, and fires a round of bullets in the direction of the bomb - resulting to an impact midair.
Hopefully Sieg doesn't get airsick as well, because the resulting explosion makes their airship rock a little bit. The other airship takes more of the damage from the bomb, but it nonetheless shoots one more rocket at them, trying to knock them right out of the sky. Claude won't be able to deploy another weapon, however - it seems like the system's fried after two shots, overheating. Maybe you should've taken the airship that Impey wanted you on? It sounded fancier.
I'm going to need Catra to roll on her fancy flying. :) ]

Anyway this tag is largely useless, Sakyou will seat himself at the top of the ladder so he can get the view through the full spread of windows on the second floor as everyone else is currently on the first. They've got the navigation and now-defunct weapons systems covered, so he's just keeping an eye on the movement of the ENEMY AIRSHIP.]
[He's just reached the base of the ladder, his feet firmly on the first floor, when the explosion rocks airship. The more rational part of him hangs tightly onto the ladder in order to avoid falling over, and the irrationally fearful part of him decides that it's best if he stays where he is. Something to grab onto is good.
Jumping and crashing are both bad, but in line with their luck.
As much as he'd love to help, he's literally paralyzed by fear.]

The other airship is slowly falling out of the sky, but the downside of this roll means that the missile they launched manages to rip right through the upper half of the deck that they were on. They aren't immediately destroyed by the missile, but it does mean that their floor suddenly faces a lot of destruction as it's separated from the air balloon portion of the airship.

It's fine, he's got the pain tolerance of a tank and barely even seems to flinch as he tries to regain his bearings which HE CANNOT BECAUSE NOW THEY'RE PLUMMETING TO HELL.
He acts fast, immediately rushing toward where the fuckin parachutes are and strapping one on. Somehow, he seems to know exactly how to wear it??]

[ The next attack hits and the ship just explodes into the chaos that this CYOA team has been demonstrating all along. Claude doesn't manage to stay on his feet this time, going flying across the deck until he slams into—something, a console, his head spinning and his ears ringing when his head collides with the wall.
And then the ship lurches again, this time distinctly Down, though he's so out of it he hardly notices. He thinks he might be bleeding, and his vision is blurry when he opens his eyes. ]
We need to jump.
[ He's like, really out of it, but he manages to crawl to where Sakyou throws the second parachute, though, like an idiot, he prioritizes finding Catra instead of pulling it on. ]
[The sound of the airship's demise doesn't fill him with dread as much as that terrible, terrible sensation of sinking. He nearly loses his heart when he feels Sakyou's landing in front of him. Some of the hot debris cut his hand on the way down, but superficial scratches are nothing to falling.
His eyes snap open as he's embraced, allowing the parachutes to be taken from him. His breath catches and he nearly passes out right then and there when Sakyou jumps with him in tow. He clings with one hand like his life depends on it, because it does.]
