It doesn't exactly harm me, per se. In that state, I'm not fully capable of acknowledging it as me even if you try to explain it, so it's about what you'd expect if someone walked up to you and insisted you were wrong about your own name.

I think some pieces of info should likely be interpreted more loosely, rather than taken as literal. The scripts, for instance — they may not be actual scripts meant to be carried out, but instead representative of something broader.

The impression I got from those is that we're putting on a show
It's not specific like those but someone is trying to direct us in some sort of way
Or at least, some groups are being directed

It's likely we're being treated as puppets of some kind, although I think viewing it as a show, specifically, might be too narrow. It might be best to focus less on how the info is presented and more what it's generally implying.

If we haven't heard anything further about it, it might not be relevant. Either because it's more mundane than expected, or given that my memories of a life in this world are fake, it's possible that other parts of its presumed history also aren't real.

I don't know if that's the case for the others, though. If it were just a matter of believing a lie, that wouldn't explain why they refuse to speak.
