SUMMER COMMON ROOM - WEEK 5

The common room is as bright and open as the rest of the dorm. Beanbag chairs and even more hammocks are situated around for any of your resting needs, because who needs couches? There are a few blankets on the couch just for comfort, but the temperature is never cold enough to need them because of chill. There's also an absurd amount of pillows.

The walls are decorated with paintings that are either modern art pieces or done by kindergarteners. There are also photographs tacked onto the walls as well, of seemingly random things like a vase of flowers, a mailbox, a bird on a tree branch. The photos are less about grand views and feels more like someone testing out a camera.

On a table is a welcome basket.

In the common room, there's a door that leads to what can only be described as an Occult Room for some strange reason. Unlike the rest of the dorm, this room is dimly lit and is crowded with items—a skeleton that may or may not be real, taxidermy animals, really creepy looking dolls, an actual coffin, etc. On a table to the side is a Ouija board, a few tarot decks, and crystal ball.

[ Wowie.

Like every week, there is an absurd amount of tea and snacks. There's also a stack of research on what a culture festival is, along with a spot for people to give suggestions on what they'd like to do for it. Fun!

There's also a handwritten note next to everything:

[ The bright, sunny Monday morning... Claude can be found on one of the couches in the Summer dorm! He is passed out soundly, his dunce cap covering his eyes, one arm thrown over the back of the couch and one leg hanging off it.

Next to Claude, sleeping curled up on the floor, is a dog-sized wyvern (minus the gear). She's very happy to be dozing in the sunlight, and will snap her jaws at anyone who tries to bother her, unless she's already familiar with them.

... We do have more than enough beds to spare, should you wish for a more comfortable resting spot.

They're going to expire tomorrow, but in the case that any of you have to use them tonight... We might as well know what can be used and still be in effect.

I know I originally asked Mabel if she'd consider moving to another dorm while we settle things here. [ You know, with Otome killing Mandricardo's boyfriend who also lived here. ] And I've been approached by a couple of people that considered what I did wrong and that I was shirking responsibility onto other people. Instead, I should be making this a place where she can stay.

[ we are literally all depressed here and whatever mandy has going on after the cyoa but Nier will do his best ]

Maybe I was wrong. I just didn't want her to stay here and see the pain and distrust any longer. She was trying her best to help us and I thought she was giving so much without receiving the protection and nurture she needed.

... With all we learned recently, can things be okay? The pain and the hurt can't be erased, but we can focus on overcoming this place instead.

Beau said that Riku snapped out of it when they hounded him with details about his real life, and Iris... pushed herself out. Anyway... we need to do something.
